Piston Ring Set Cummins Engine ISC 8.3 – Engine QSC 8.3 – Engine ISL G
Used on Cummins engines in the ISC and QSC applications. Located in the piston. Its function is to seal against combustion pressure, control lubricating oil, and transfer heat from the piston to the cylinder wall. Made of special steel/cast iron for piston rings.
Engines: Cummins ISC 8.3, QSC 8.3 and ISL G in some applications.
When purchasing a replacement engine, I recommend checking the ESN and CPL, because Cummins may use different piston/piston ring configurations.
