It connects the piston to the connecting rod. It allows the piston and connecting rod to move relative to each other and transfers the combustion force to the connecting rod.
Confirmed applications: Cummins 6C, 6CT, 6CTA, 6CTAA; it is also documented for engines in the 6C/6C L family.
To ensure exact compatibility, I still recommend checking via ESN/CPL, because not all configurations use the same connector.
