New Cylinder Head Cummins Engine ISC – Engine ISL
Cylinder Head Cummins Engine ISC 8.3 – Engine ISL 8.9
It is identified as a Cummins cylinder head for diesel engines. 6 cylinders, 24 valves. It is mounted at the top of the engine block, above the cylinders. It is secured to the engine block using cylinder head bolts, with the cylinder head gasket positioned between the cylinder head and the engine block. It seals the top of the cylinders and forms the upper part of the combustion chambers. Its main functions are to allow air to enter through the intake valves, to expel exhaust gases through the exhaust valves, to house and guide the valves, to support the fuel injectors, and to allow lubricating oil and coolant to flow through dedicated internal passages. Valves and springs included.
It is recommended for use with Cummins ISC 8.3 CM2150, QSC 8.3-500 HO CM850/CM2850, ISL 8.9 CM850, QSL 8.9 CM850/CM2850, QSL 9 M CM2250 L106, and 6C 8.3 series engines.
Always double-check; I wouldn’t assume the number is universally interchangeable on every QSL/ISL without verifying the ESN and CPL.
