Front Crankshaft Seal Kit Cummins Engine ISL – Engine QSL
Front Oil Seal Kit Cummins Engine ISL – Engine QSL / QSL 9
The kit is fitted to the front of the crankshaft, at the front gear housing/front cover. Its main function is to prevent engine oil from leaking around the crankshaft whilst it is rotating. The oil seal is normally made of an oil- and heat-resistant elastomer with a metal support ring.
Used on the 6C 8.3, 6CT 8.3, 6CTA 8.3, ISC 8.3, QSC 8.3, ISL, QSL / QSL 9 engines.
Final compatibility must always be checked using the engine’s ESN and CPL, or the Cummins OEM catalogue. Within the QSL family, there may be variations depending on the year, configuration and CPL; therefore, the engine family alone does not guarantee 100% suitability.

The oil pan gasket seals the joint between the engine block and the oil pan; this is the narrow “early/narrow pan” version, typically with 34 holes.
Primary application for mechanical, non-certified L10 motors with a narrow housing. Some aftermarket catalogs also list it for certain M11 and ISM configurations, but it is not universal for all of these motors.
