Tuned Vibration Damper / Crankshaft Damper / Harmonic Balancer Cummins Engine ISC 8.3 – Engine QSC 8.3
It is not just a simple pulley. It is installed at the front end of the crankshaft and functions as a harmonic balancer mounted on the front end of the crankshaft. It serves to reduce torsional vibrations and oscillations of the crankshaft generated during diesel engine operation. It features a metal construction with an elastomeric/rubber damping element.
