Piston & Rings Cummins Engine QSL 8.9 / QSL 8.9L
It is described as a two-piece articulated piston, constructed with a forged steel crown and a cast aluminum skirt. It is installed inside the cylinder bore and connected to the connecting rod via the piston pin. The kit converts the pressure generated by combustion into reciprocating motion transmitted to the connecting rod and then to the crankshaft. The piston rings simultaneously ensure compression sealing, oil film control, and heat transfer from the piston to the cylinder bore. The kit consists of Engine Piston 1, Piston Ring Set 1, Top Keystone Piston Ring, Intermediate Piston Ring, Oil Control Piston Ring, and Piston Pin Retainers 2.
Equipped with Cummins ISL 850, ISL 8.9, ISL 8.9L, QSL 8.9, and QSL 8.9L engines.
To avoid installation errors, always verify at least one of the following: Engine Serial Number (ESN), CPL, Cummins QuickServe/OEM catalog, original piston number, crown number, CAPS injection system, or the piston’s physical dimensions.
