Front Crankshaft Seal Kit Cummins Engine 6C – Engine 6CT – Engine 6CTA
Front Seal Service Kit Cummins Engine 6C 8.3 – Engine 6CT 8.3 – Engine 6CTA 8.3
It is located at the front of the crankshaft, in the gear housing/front cover area. It prevents engine oil from leaking around the front end of the crankshaft. The oil seal is typically made of an oil- and temperature-resistant elastomer with a metal backing; the wear sleeve is made of metal and creates a new sealing surface on the shaft when the original sealing surface is worn.
Used on the 6C 8.3, 6CT 8.3, 6CTA 8.3, ISC 8.3, QSC 8.3, ISL, QSL engines.
